I jumped in my pool a few days ago. It’s not heated and a chilly 51 degrees. Maybe I’m foolish or a glutton for punishment. Maybe the health benefits of a could plunge are overrated. Nevertheless, it seems to me that doing uncomfortable things is a helpful discipline. After all, the good stuff is on the other side of our comfort zone. Let’s get some practice, one way or another.
You can do hard things. And you can reinforce this belief with simple challenges like stepping further than necessary into cold water.
